25 miles

Join us for this ride along the San Francisco Bay at a relaxed/conversational pace. The distance is about 25 miles, with a stop halfway at a coffee shop in scenic Pt. Richmond (it will be 1-1.5 hours each way).
The entire route is paved, and follows paved paths that are separated from the road, where available.
We'll visit the Berkeley Marina /Cesar Chavez Park, McLaughlin Eastshore State Park, Albany Beach behind the former Golden Gate Fields, and ride past the Rosie the Riveter WWII Home Front National Historical Park. Depending on group interest, we may return with an extension along the Miller/Knox Regional Shoreline (about 4 miles) and/or the Point Isabel Regional Shoreline (about 1 mile). The route includes the option to leave the group and return to San Francisco via the San Francisco Bay Ferry from Richmond.
Meet at the North Berkeley BART station at 9:30 am, for a 9:45 am departure. [Notes: (1) train from SF arrives at 9:29 am, and (2) if we leave at 10 am, I think that leaves room for an optional ferry return from Richmond if anyone wants to do that, so this timing provides flexibility]
