It’s time to check up on black bears Cambria, Tejon, and Kern who joined the Oakland Zoo last year following a battle for survival up north. If you haven’t had a chance to explore the zoo’s 72 million dollar expansion and 56 acres of roaming ground, now’s the time! Join us for a day of discovery: grizzly bears, wolves, bald eagles, mountain lions, and the animal of the day: the bison, among other multi-legged friends. Buy tickets on site at the zoo. Meet at the entrance gates at 10:00 and join us for lunch at 11:30 at the Landing Cafe 650 feet above sea level accessed by gondola. Enjoy the view of six Bay Area counties.
